API Scores
Every year California tests the students and comes up with their "Academic Performance Index" (or API) scores. They also have a state ranking system, but that system is less detailed than the school scores. The school boundary map that is color-coded by API scores on this page allows one to visually see the general layout of school performance across the county. Our Homes-By-School-Boundary maps allow one to see this information in DETAIL, including the location of the school as well as contact information, web site URLs, and school score data as part of the map!

Little Known Schools
The great thing about using these tools is that they allow you to search and find that great property in a little known school district. For example, in Encinitas, the Olivenhain school district is really great, but homes typically sell for over $1.5M; on the other hand, the Flora Vista school often outperforms Olivenhain, and homes can go as low as $600,000. These maps solve this problem and allow you to visually see school scores at the same time that you are looking at home prices and features.

Schools and City Lines
If you are from out of the area and schools matter to you, then you must use CARE in selecting a home. Unlike most other areas of the country, in San Diego, school boundary lines can go across municipal boundary lines. For example, if you live in Carlsbad, you can be enrolled in the Encinitas school district, the Carlsbad school district, or the San Marcos school district, depending upon where you live, and the school performance varies quite a bit.

We Know About Schools!
The agents on our team children ranging from 1 to 16, and so we know a lot about many of the school systems around the county. So, register on the site, and use the form to get upgraded to Registered Plus! Do you know what the highest-scoring Elementary school is in the County? Hint: It's in Carmel Valley. You can easily find out once you're using our awesome maps!

These tools give our clients a competitive edge, so we do not typically allow others to use them.
